REIMS & UNESCO World Heritage
One of the most beautiful in France, the Gothic art Masterpiece where the King of France were crowned, was one of the first monuments registered as an UNESCO World Heritage site.
The basilique Saint Remi and the "Palais de Tau" museum, also registered as Unesco site, where the cathedral treasures are displayed.
TOURISM OF MEMORY: World War I sites
In the village of Dormans, at 30 km from Etoges, the "Mémorial des Batailles de la Marne" (Battles of the Marne Memorial) is a commemorative chapel built to perpetuate the memory of the Battle of the Marne.
Nearby, you will discover many necropolis, cemeteries and memorials:

British: La Ferte sous Jouarre Memorial
About one hour from Etoges, you will recognize the famous place of the Battle of Verdun, one of the major battles during the First World War on the Western Front.
NATURE & CHATEAUX
Faux de Verzy: An enchanted forest of gnarled and unusual trees on the Reims Mountain, about 35 minutes from the Chateau.
The Château de Montmort (5 minutes - no visit) and the Château de Condé (25 minutes) these chateaux are well worth a detour.
TROYES
At 80 km on the way to the south, you will arrived in Troyes, a important medieval city during the Middle age and famous for its "Foire de Champagne". Many half-timbered houses (mainly of the 16th century) survive in the old town.
Troyes is also world known as production headquarters for Lacoste, Coq Sportif, Petit Bateau; it is become nowadays the European capital of factory outlet shops.
